CPQ Overview
Fishladder's CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) module lets you build professional quotes, manage a centralized product catalog, and track deals from draft to signature — all without leaving the platform.
What is CPQ?
CPQ stands for Configure, Price, Quote. It streamlines the quoting process by letting your team select products, apply pricing rules, and generate polished quotes in minutes instead of hours. Combined with built-in e-signatures and CRM integration, it keeps your entire sales workflow in one place.

Quote Lifecycle
Every quote moves through a series of stages that help you track where each deal stands:
- Draft — The quote is being prepared and is not yet visible to the recipient
- Sent — The quote has been emailed or its link shared with the recipient
- Viewed — The recipient has opened the quote (tracked automatically)
- Accepted — The recipient has accepted and signed the quote
- Declined — The recipient has declined the quote
- Expired — The quote passed its validity date without a response
Interactive Web Quotes
Each quote gets a unique shareable URL. Recipients verify their identity via a one-time magic link (sent in the quote email) or email OTP verification. Once verified, they can view the full quote in their browser — line items, totals, terms — and click Accept & Sign to complete. A branded PDF is also attached to the email for offline reference. You'll be notified the moment a recipient views or signs.
E-Signatures
When a recipient is ready to accept, they draw or type their signature directly on the web quote. The signed quote is timestamped and stored as a PDF, giving you a clear audit trail for every deal.
Templates
Quote templates let you pre-configure the look and feel of your quotes:
- Logo and colors — Match your brand identity
- Payment terms — Net 30, Net 60, due on receipt, or custom
- Legal text — Standard terms and conditions, disclaimers
- Footer notes — Thank-you messages, support contact info
CRM Integration
Quotes can be linked to deals, contacts, and companies in the CRM module. When a quote is accepted, the linked deal is automatically updated. This gives you end-to-end visibility from first contact through closed revenue.
Analytics
The CPQ dashboard surfaces key metrics to help you optimize your sales process:
- Conversion rate — Percentage of sent quotes that are accepted
- Average time-to-close — How long it takes from sent to signed
- Revenue tracking — Total quoted vs. accepted revenue over time
- Product breakdown — Which products appear most often and drive the most revenue
- Team performance — Quote volume and win rate by team member
