Collecting Feedback

The Feedback view (press F) helps your team capture, organize, and prioritize customer feedback. There are several ways to get feedback into Fishladder.

Manual Entry

  1. Navigate to the Feedback view.
  2. Click Add Feedback.
  3. Enter a title, description, customer names, company, and impact level.
  4. The entry is added to your prioritized list.

Email Inbox

Each team gets a unique inbound email address. Forward customer emails to this address and they appear in your feedback inbox for review. From the inbox, you can promote entries to the main feedback list or dismiss them.

Feedback Widget

Embed a feedback button on your own website so visitors can send feedback from the page they are on. Submissions arrive in this inbox for review. See the Feedback Widget guide to set one up.

API Ingestion

Use the /api/v1/feedback endpoint to programmatically create feedback entries. This is useful for integrating with support tools, survey platforms, or custom workflows. See the API Reference for details.

Organizing Feedback

  • Groups — create thematic groups (e.g., "Mobile App", "Billing") and assign entries to them.
  • Priority — drag entries up or down to set relative priority.
  • Votes — team members can upvote entries to signal importance.
  • Status — track entries as Open, In Progress, or Done.
  • Impact — tag each entry as Low, Medium, or High impact.
