Board vs List View
Each project in the Projects app offers two layouts: a kanban-style board and a structured list. Switch between them using the view toggle in the project header.
Board View
Tasks are organized into columns by status. Each project defines its own statuses (by default: To Do, In Progress, Done). Drag cards between columns to update status instantly.
- Best for visual workflow tracking
- Quick status updates via drag and drop
- Cards show priority badge, assignee avatar, due date, and comment count
- Add tasks with the + button at the bottom of any column
List View
Tasks appear in a structured list grouped by category. Each row shows the task title, priority, due date, status, and assignee.
- Best for bulk review and triage
- Categories let you organize tasks into groups (e.g., "Sprint 1", "Backlog")
- Collapse categories to focus on specific areas
- Add tasks inline with the + button in each category
Filtering and Sorting
Both views share the same filter toolbar. Filter by status, priority, assignee, category, or due date — and by tag when the project has tags (tags are set up in project settings or come from templates and imports). Sort by manual order, due date, priority, title, created date, or status.
When to Use Which
Use the board during standups and sprint planning when you need a visual overview of work in progress. Use the list when triaging a backlog, working with categories, or reviewing all tasks at once.
