Creating a Goal

  1. Click Add Goal in the Goals view header.
  2. Enter a title and optional description.
  3. Choose a color and a status for the goal.
  4. Pick at least one category (see below) — a goal needs one before it can be saved.
  5. Click Add goal.

Goal Statuses

Each goal has one of three statuses:

  • Active — currently being worked on.
  • Achieved — completed successfully.
  • Dropped — no longer being pursued.

To change a goal's status, click the goal card to open its editor, pick a new value from the Status dropdown, and click Save changes. The badge on the card shows the current status. Use the All / Active / Achieved / Dropped buttons in the header to show goals with one status.

Categories

Categories help you organize goals by theme or area (e.g., "Growth", "Infrastructure"). Create them in the goal editor: in the Categories section, click + Add category(or Create one if none exist yet), pick a color and enter a name.

  • Each category has a name and a color.
  • A goal can belong to multiple categories.
  • Each goal card shows its categories as colored pills.

Linking Goals to Roadmap Items

Goals become meaningful when linked to the projects and initiatives that deliver them. Click a goal card to open its detail panel, then use the Linked Items section to search and attach roadmap projects and initiatives. Items can be linked once the goal has been saved.

  • The goal's progress bar shows the ratio of completed to total linked items.
  • Linked items appear as a list inside the goal detail panel.
  • Remove a link by clicking the X next to a linked item.

Tips

  • Use goals to bridge strategy and execution — link high-level OKRs to the projects that deliver them.
  • Filter by status to focus on the goals still in play.
  • Goals are team-scoped and visible to all team members.
